GRIGORYAN Hayk

Born on October 22, 1964 in Yerevan.

1986 - Graduated from the Faculty of Computer Science of the Yerevan Karl Marx Polytechnic Institute (The State Engineering University of Armenia.)

1991 - Post Graduate of the same institute. System Engineering. Journalist. Candidate of Philology.

1986 - 1992 - Working and teaching in the Department of Computer Science of the Yerevan Polytechnic Institute.

1992 - 1993 - Chief Editor of the “Hanrapetakan” newspaper.

1993 - 1999 - Chief Editor of the “Iravunk” newspaper.

2003 - 2012 - General Director of the LLC “Publishing House “Zaruhi.”

2008 - 2012 - General Director of the LLC “Iravunk Media.”

2008 - 2012 - Head of the Chair of Armenian-practical journalism of the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University.

1989 - 1993 - Member of the Unity of the Presidium of “Constitutional Law.”

1993 - 2006 - Deputy Chair of the Unity of “Constitutional Law.”

2006 - Chair of the party of “Unity of Constitutional Law.”

1990 - 1995 - Deputy of the Yerevan City Council.

1990 - Elected member of the Ad-hoc Committee of the Supreme Council of the Armenian SSR on the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.

1999 - Chair of the Editorial Council of the Holding “Iravunk Media.”

1999 - National Expert of the UN.

2011 - Member of the Expert Council of the journal “Ruski Ekran.”

1999 to 2003 - Deputy of the National Assembly (proportional electoral system, “Right and Unity” alliance.) Member of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly.

2003 - Deputy Chair of the Committee on Culture, Information and Sports of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.

Member of “Law and Unity” faction. Member of the CLU.

May 6, 2012 - Elected as Deputy of the National Assembly by the proportional electoral system from the Republican Party of Armenia.

2003 - Full member of the International Academy of Social and Natural Sciences.

2004 - Full member of the Academy of Spiritual Unity of Nations (RF.)

2005 - Full member of the International Academy of the “Ararat” (France.)

2010 - Full member of the European Academy of Sciences (Germany.)

Author of numerous scientific publications.

2003 - Awarded with the commemorative Medal of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.

2004 - Awarded Order of the “White Cross” of the European Academy of Natural Sciences.

2009 - Awarded “Order of Honor.”

2011 - Awarded Medal of Otto von Bismarck.

Mr. Baboukhanyan is married with two children.
