On June 14, the parliament continued the work of the extraordinary session debating the RA Draft Tax Code.

The deputies Vahe Enfiajyan, Naira Zohrabyan, Mikayel Melkumyan, Mher Shahgeldyan, Nikol Pashinyan, Hakob Hakobyan, Gurgen Arsenyan, Edmon Marukyan expressed their views, concerns on the RA Draft Tax Code.

In her extraordinary speech the RA NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan has noticed that new systemized solutions and approaches are proposed according to the Tax Code. Mrs Naghdalyan considered necessary to continue the debates for finding the best solutions for the development of the economy. The NA Deputy Speaker also introduced some concerns on taxing the interests, the regulation of the income tax, etc.

The parliamentary Factions (Rule of Law – Head of Faction Heghine Bisharyan, Head of ANC Faction Levon Zurabyan, member of the PAP Faction Mikayel Melkumyan, Head of RPA Faction Vahram Baghdasaryan) expressed their views on the Draft Tax Code.

In their final speeches the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Vardan Ayvazyan and the First Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee adjunct to the RA Government Vakhtang Mirumyan touched upon the sounded interpellations and recommendations. The representative of the Government expressed readiness for cooperating over all the controversial issues.

The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Arsen Mkrtchyan in the first reading presented for debate the legislative package on Amendments to the RA Law on Bankruptcy, on Amendments to the RA Criminal Code and on Amendment to the RA Law on Individual Entrepreneurship.

Afterwards the parliament debated the Financial Treaty Armenia M6 Interstate Road signed between the Republic of Armenia and the European Investment Bank in Yerevan on January 26, 2016, which presented the RA First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication Artur Arakelyan.

The member of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Karen Bekaryan presented the endorsement of the Committee, and Sukias Avetisyan presented the endorsement of the RA NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs.

The NA deputies Aram Manukyan, Mikayel Melkumyan, Khosrov Harutyunyan, Hovhannes Margaryan delivered speeches on the document.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication Artur Arakelyan touched upon the deputies’ interpellations and gave clarifications.

The RA First Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Vache Terteryan in the first reading presented the bill on Amendment to the RA Law on Protection of the Personal Data.

The debate of the issue will continue at June 15 NA sitting.
