In the National Assembly established in 1995 the RPA was represented by five deputies; Ashot Navasardyan, Andranik Margaryan, Yuri Bakhshyan,, Galust Sahakyan, Gagik Minasyan. They constantly worked in permanent parliamentary commissions: party chairman Ashot Navasardyan was the deputy chairman of the commission of defense, national security and internal affairs; Andranik Margaryan and Yuri Bakhshyan were members of the state/law commission; Galust Sahakyan was a member of the commission for science, education culture and youth affairs; Gagik Minasyan was a member of the commission for monetary, budget and economic issues. In the NA, RPA representatives appeared with initiatives to improve the defense of this country, and a number of legislative proposals on education, economy, state and law.
