Born on 2 June 1960 in Yerevan.
In 1982 graduated with a degree in eastern sciences from Yerevan State University.
In 1981-1982 worked as a military translator in the Republic of Algeria.
In 1982-1984 worked as a senior scientific associate in the Ye. Charents Art and Literature Museum.
In 1984-1988 was an instructor in the LCYU Central Committee.
In 1988-1996 was the deputy director of the Kanaker Sewing Factory.
In 1996-1998 was the representative of “Armenian Airlines” in Moscow.
In 1998-2003 was the deputy director of “Armenian Airlines”.
On 25 May 2003 was elected to the NA from electoral district # 5. He is a member of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations. He is a member of the “People's Deputy” Deputy Group.
Since 22 Jule 2006 is a member of the Republican Party of Armenia.
Married, has four children.
