Born on 2 January 1956 in the Shishkert village of Kapan region.
In 1961 moved to Yerevan with the family, settling in Malatia district.
After finishing the school, entered the Yerevan Technical School of Food Industry, then served in the Soviet Army. Studied in the Voronezh Institute of Forestry.
Worked at the “Anush” knitted fabrics manufacturing association, starting as a worker, reached the chairmanship of the consumer kooperation of Shaumyan district.
Participated in the Armenian National Liberation Movement in 1988. Took part in the liberation of Karabakh, together with the devoters of the “Malatia” detachment.
Since 2006 is a member of the Republican Party of Armenia.
Since 2006 is a member of RPA board.
Married, has three children.
