Born on 10 February 1963 in Echmiadzin.
In 2001 graduated with a degree in hydroengineering from the Armenia Agricultural Academy.
In 1981-1983 served in the Soviet Army.
In 1984-1986 was a worker in “Hayjrshin”, in 1986-1988 was the head of the department, in 1988-1991 he was a head of the division and from 1991-1999 he was head of the unit.
In 1999-2003 was elected deputy to the NA (electoral district # 35). Is a member of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs. Is a member of the “Stability” Deputy Droup and later the “People's Deputy” Deputy Group.
On 25 May 2003 was elected deputy to the NA from electoral district # 26. Is a member of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs. He is a member of the “People's Deputy” Deputy Group.
Since 22 Jule 2006 is a member of the Republican Party of Armenia.
Married, has four children.
