Born 1952.
In 1976, graduated from Yerevan State Medical Institute.
In 1978-92, worked at various medical institutions of Kapan and Yerevan a physician. Defended a thesis on medicine, D.M.
Participated in self-defence of Zangezur, was the co-ordinator of Kapan armed units, participated in Karabakh self-defence.
In 1999 was awarded with "Maternal Gratitude" medal by the "Karabakh Maternal Fund".
In 2001, by RA Presidential decree, was awarded with "Combat Service" medal.
1992-2003 was the director of Yerevan Basic Medical College № 1. The chairman of heads of the board of middle-specialized medical educational institutions of the Ministry of Health of RA. A member of the “Erkrapah” Voluteers Union .
On May 25, 2003, he was elected to the NA from Precinct #53, a member of standing NA commission for science, education, culture and youth affairs. He is a member of the Republican Party of Armenia Faction.
Since 10 September 1998, he has been a member of the Republican Party of Armenia.
On 30 January 1999(5-th congress of RPA), on 9 June 2001(6-th congress of RPA), on 12 July 2003 (8-th congress of RPA), on 17 December 2005 (9-th congress of RPA) was elected a member of RPA board.
Married, two children.
