PUBLISHING ACTIVITY

Since the very establishment the RPA has attached great importance to the familiarization of the public with its ideology and attitudes. The ideology of the party, based on the teachings of Garegin Nzhdeh and his followers was presented in official newspapers, the "Paros Hayastani" (1990) and "Hanrapetakan" (1991-1998), in "Zhamanak" newspaper (1999-2000), in the publications of "Azgainakan Matenashar" series (1996-1997), in a number of ideological books and collections.

The party paper "Hanrapetakan" (editors: H. Naapetian, 1992; M. Lalayan, 1993-97; T. Torosian, 1998) has always referred to the ideological problems, diverse issues relating to Armenian national and state life, analyzed from national ideology standpoint and presented to the public current political processes. The ideology of the "Hanrapetakan" was inclined towards the strengthening of independence, enhancement of statehood and the revival of the Armenian system of values. In 1999, the "Zhamanak" newspaper also started to refer to the RPA ideology and current developments. By the RPA initiative, in 1996 the publication of "Azgainakan Matenashar" series commenced; 9 brochures were printed with the purpose of presenting the nationalist approach to developments underway in our society taking into account both the theoretical values of the past and the modern reality. The ideology adopted by the RPA is presented in this series and other party publications in the way it is formulated in the originals, focusing on the theoretical heritage of G. Nzhdeh and H. Asatrian. National ideology worked out over the past century of our history has been profoundly studied, at the same time an attempt is made to modernize and to re-interpret it.

Since March 2003, the RPA has been publishing an ideological, political and analytical journal, the "Hanrapetakan". This publication expresses the RPA's approaches to and views on the global developments, geopolitical changes and regional processes. At the same time, the publication makes proposals on adequate actions. A sizable portion of the journal is devoted to the history and ideology of nationalism.
