Third President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan commented on his symbolic visit paid to the Sardarapat Memorial on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the formation of Armenia’s Armed Forces.
- Mr. President, what made you choose the Sardarapat Memorial for today’s visit?
- States are forming armed forces to ensure their territorial integrity, the immunity of borders and the security of their citizens. In this respect, the Battle of Sardarapat is one of the most vivid manifestations of this simple truth. This symbolic visit is a reminder addressed to our people, our armed forces, our officers and soldiers.
