Aram Ateshian: 'We don’t want to be treated as if aliens'

Vicar General of Patriarch of Constantinople, Archbishop Aram Ateshian remarked on Monday at Turkey’s Grand National Assembly introducing Armenian Patriarchate’s recommendations and expectations from the new constitution, website Hurriyet reported.
“The constitution is expected to be warm, conscientious and caring. We want a constitution that defines no discrimination among its citizens. Armenians are native sons of these lands, and we don’t want to be treated as if aliens,” Ateshian said.
