Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had a meeting with the members of the official delegation of St. Petersburg

Within the framework of St. Petersburg days in Yerevan on April 25-28 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had a meeting with the representatives of the official delegation headed by Vice Governor of St. Petersburg Olga Kazanskaya.
Greeting the guests the Mayor first said that holding St. Petersburg days in Yerevan is another evidence of the high level of the relations formed between the two cities.Taron Margaryan highly appreciated the efforts of the St. Petersburg Government directed at strengthening and expansion of bilateral relations stressing that Yerevan is open and willing to discuss all the propositions and initiatives related to development of the capital. "Today our partnership develops within the cooperation program for 2011-2014 and taking into account the coordinated and efficient work of the working groups formed by both parties I believe that we will have the results we have outlined", pointed out Taron Margaryan.Greeting the Mayor on behalf of St. Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko and the St. Petersburg Government Olga Kazanskaya said that Yerevan is a reliable and safe partner for the North capital of the RF and the Russian party attaches importance to expansion of cooperation with Yerevan. "I assure that Yerevan is dear to us not as a friendly city but also as a partner and we highly appreciate the constructive partner atmosphere which we have in our relations", said St. Petersburg Vice Governor.Taking into account the rich historical and cultural heritage of the two cities the parties made an agreement to deepen and expand experience exchange in this direction and stimulate tourism development. Once again expressing gratitude for friendly warm reception the guests expressed hope that the opportunity of visiting St. Petersburg by the Yerevan delegation headed by Mayor Taron Margaryan won’t keep waiting.
After the official meeting the Mayor of Yerevan and the Vice Governor of St. Petersburg answered the journalists' questions.
