Armenia-Kuwait Relationship Areas Discussed

 Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan received a delegation led by Al-Kuwait Governor Sheikh Ali Al-Jaber Al-AHmd Al Sabah.

Welcoming the guests to the Government, Tigran Sargsyan said to be convinced the the visit of the Al-Kuwait Governor will contribute to the strengthening of the Armenian-Kuwaiti relations.

“Bilateral programs have been gaining momentum recently. Armenia is interested in expanding cooperation with Kuwait to set up recycling enterprises and implement other investment programs,” the Prime Minister noted.

In turn, Sheikh Ali AL-Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah conveyed warm greetings on behalf of the Kuwaiti Premier, stating that his country attaches great importance to the strengthening of ties with Armenia and that they are willing to give a new impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation.

Tigran Sargsyan advised that Armenia is shifting to the policy of “open skies.” In this context, the interlocutors discussed the possibility of organizing a direct flights between the two countries to promote tourism. The leaders of Armenian, Kuwaiti aviation departments were said to meet in the near future to take up the aforementioned matters.

The parties also touched upon the activities of the Armenian - Kuwaiti intergovernmental commission and the implementation of investment projects.
