Taron Margaryan and Nil Ushakov discussed the issues related to the further process of cooperation programs

 The delegation headed by Yerevan Mayor Taon Margaryan which arrived to Riga to participate in the official ceremony of proclamation the capital of Latvia the European cultural capital, had a meeting with the Mayor of Riga Nil Ushakov. Greeting his colleague Nil Ushakov thanked him first for accepting the invitation and stressed that this visit is another occasion to discuss the process of implementation of the programs of mutually beneficial cooperation established between Yerevan and Riga.
"The cooperation established between Yerevan and Riga really has a big potential. And I am confident that the warm relations existing between the two capitals will get mutually beneficial development in different spheres of urban economy and we will have visible results. It’s especially pleasant that we have accepted my invitation and are taking part in the official ceremony of proclamation Riga the European cultural capital and this is a big support for me as we are also good friends", said Nil Ushakov.
Expressing gratitude for warm reception and for the invitation Mayor Taron Margaryan congratulated his colleague on the event of Riga's proclamation the European cultural capital. Referring to the issues of expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation and the development of business relations between the two cities, Mayor Taron Margaryan in his turn noted that today there are all preconditions to strengthen and develop friendly and business relations between Yerevan and Riga.
"The development of friendship and business relations between Yerevan and Riga is based on the friendship between our countries and our peoples which is proved by the bilateral visits become more frequent recently. I am confident that we'll be able to put into life all the outlines provided by the Treaty on Brotherhood signed in Riga and to realize various projects for the welfare of our capitals", stressed Taron Margaryan.
