 The results of the activity of the subdivisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the RA functioning in the territory of Yerevan were summarized at the meeting taken place in the City Hall of Yerevan. Yerevan Mayor Taron
Margaryan and the Minister of Emergency Situations of Armenia Armen Yeritsyan took part in the meeting.
The leaders of the territorial subdivisions of the Yerevan Rescue Service of the RA MES performed reports on the work done pointing out that the work aimed ensuring the safety of the residents of the capital are going on.
Expressing gratitude to the Minister of Emergency Situations and to the subdivisions of the MES for teamwork with the Municipality and the administrative districts Mayor Taron Margaryan highly appreciated the professional readiness of the staff and stressed that the cooperation of the Municipality of Yerevan with the Ministry of Emergency Situation of the RA is very important.
"The cooperation of the Municipality of Yerevan with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia is really effective. I am sure that as a result of the teamwork in the nearest years we will expand the frames of our cooperation. The most important achievement I'd like to outline today is the trust and belief of the residents of Yerevan in the work of rescuers", stressed Taron Margaryan.
Taking into account the importance of anti-fire security in educational and cultural establishments of the capital Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the persons in charge of the sphere to submit financial conclusion with the aim of purchasing fire extinguishers for the mentioned establishments by means of the city budget.
The RA Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan in his turn thanked Mayor Taron Margaryan for permanent support and effective teamwork and stressed that significant achievements had been recorded within the scope of cooperation. The Minister also pointed out that there is still a lot to be done in the sphere of improvement of the quality of services.
Giving positive assessment of the activity of the territorial subdivision of Yerevan of the RA MES in 2013, Taron Margaryan mentioned that the Municipality of Yerevan will go on assisting the Rescue Service of Yerevan of the RA MES within its powers.
Within the scope of the summarizing meeting Mayor Taron Margaryan awarded the RA Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan with the medal «Honorary rescuer of Yerevan» for the activity aimed at the security of the residents of Yerevan, organization of the activities preventing emergency situations and elimination of possible consequences at the proper level.
For effective and conscientious work carried out in 2013 a number of employees of the system were awarded with honorary and thanksgiving diplomas of the mayor of Yerevan.
Expressing gratitude for the appreciation the Minister of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan awarded Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan with the medal "Honorary collaborator" of the RA MES for the effective organization of the activity of the Municipality of Yerevan as well as for active cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency Situation of the RA.
The First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Kamo Areyan was awarded with the medal "Cooperation for Salvation" of the RA MES, and a number of the heads of departments and subdivisions of the Municipality were awarded with honorary and thanksgiving diplomas of the RA MES.
