 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan had a meeting with the RA Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan. Attaching particular importance to the role of education in the process of development of the country Mayor Taron Margaryan assured that the Municipality of Yerevan in its turn undertakes corresponding steps in the direction of establishment of an intelligent, skillful and patriotic society.’' We attach special importance to the process of education of the younger generation and we are sure that as a result of the reforms being carried out in the system of education our schoolchildren will get knowledge corresponding to international standards achieving significant and serious results in the sphere of education. The cooperation between our structures is really tight and the memorandum we are going to sign is another proof that there are perspectives for expansion and strengthening of this cooperation. Be sure, Mister Minister, that within our powers we will do our best so as all the points provided for in the memorandum would be realized efficiently'', stressed Taron Margaryan.
Referring to the Summit of European Higher Education, as well as to holding the 4th Forum of Bologna policy in Yerevan in 2015, Taron Margaryan highly appreciated the direct participation of Minister Armen Ashotyan in the issue of creating the possibility to hold such an important international event in Yerevan, and stressed that this way the competitiveness of Armenia in the international arena is stated once again. The Mayor also assured that the Municipality of Yerevan is willing to support in organization and holding of the summit.
Expressing gratitude for the welcome the RA Minister of ES Armen Ashotyan in his turn highly appreciated that cooperation of the Municipality with the Ministry and emphasized that one of the guarantees of achieving success in education is to join efforts. '' Today the Municipality of Yerevan carries out serious steps to provide necessary conditions for schoolchildren in educational establishments of the capital to get high-quality education. Thank you, Mister Mayor, for your willingness and permanent support and I assure you that in our turn we will do our best to get significant results in all outlined directions. Holding of such important international events in Yerevan is certainly obliging in this case, from the point of view of becoming a host for the European educational area and I am sure that you will do everything to hold it on the proper level'', said Armen Ashotyan.
Within the frames of the meeting Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and the RA ES Minister Armen Ashotyan signed the Memorandum of Understanding according to which the parties are obliged to develop cooperation and expand its frames within the scope of holding the Summit Ministers of European Higher Education and the 4th Forum of Bologna Policy in the RA in 2015..
