From April 1, 17-hour water supply will be provided in Yerevan

 On the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan, with the aim of avoiding and prevention of acute respiratory diseases a special duty was set at the weekend in all children’s policlinics subordinated to the Municipality. This was reported during the regular working conference in the Municipality of Yerevan. On the instruction of the Mayor of the capital a special control was set in kindergartens as well. The head of the Department of General Education reported that children’s attendance was regulated at the end of the week and in most kindergartens there were no absent children. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed the persons in charge to go on everyday control in this regard and to take measures if needed.
Within the frames of the free medical aid action “For you, women” within the last 2 weeks 14.146 women applied to the municipal policlinics, 10501 of them got corresponding examination on the spot. 76 women were sent to get computer tomography, 182 women of 2085 warded for in-patient treatment have already been operated on. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed to set tight control in all medical establishments.
The head of the Department of Urban Development and Land Control reported that the previous week 3 violation cases had been registered. In one location the illegal constructions had been dismantled.
The director of “Yerevan Jur” company reported that from April 1 the water supply schedule in Yerevan will make 17 hours. It was also noted that for the 80 % of the population of the capital 24-hour water supply will be provided.
“17-hour water supply in the capital is really an achievement and the activity of the company in this regard deserves praise. We are sure that within determined terms “Yerevan Jur” company will provide 24-hour water supply in the capital. I’d like to express gratitude to the administration of the company for willingness in the implementation of the programs of citywide significance, particularly for the installation of 20 drinking water fountains and the construction of WCs in the area of Tsitsernakaberd. Such work should be appreciated and made known to public”, stressed Taron Margaryan.
Last week 71 administrative records were drawn up for rubbish dumping in undetermined places. The Mayor of the capital instructed to go on the activities in this direction stressing that certain results are already noticeable.
The areas for the arrangement of the citywide tree planting have already been selected. Mayor Taron Margaryan instructed once again to see to it that the trees are planted only in irrigated areas.
