Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the Mayor of Mugensturm, (Germany) Dietmar Spath, with the Mayor of Abtsteinach commune Rolf Reinhard and the RA Honorary Consul in Hessen Steven Brian Fera. Expressing gratitude for accepting the invitation and visitign Yerevan again the Mayor noted that this meeting would promote expansion of the planned cooperation projects.
«In June of this year a friendly football match was played between the team of Yerevan Municipality and administrative districts and the team of German mayors. This meeting has a cultural character. We are grateful to you for accepting our invitation and participating in the events organized within «Erebuni-Yerevan 2797» celebration. This proves that our friendly relations are of long duration», said the Mayor.
The head of the delegation, the RA Honorary Consul in Hessen Steven Brian Fera on behalf of the others thanked for warm reception and the invitation and expressed confidence that together with the mayors of Mugensturm and Abtsteinach they will do their best to make the relations between Yerevan and German cities tighter and more practical.
«It's a pleasure to be in Yerevan again and I should confess, Mister mayor, that Yerevan is a warm and hospitable city indeed and we can enjoy it for the second time. It's an honour for us to be in Yerevan on these days and to get better acquainted with the traditions and culture of your centuries-old city. The programs and activities the implementation of which we witnessed during our first visit state that though Yerevan is old it's a dynamically developing and young city. I assure you that we will do our best to expand cooperation between Yerevan and German cities», said Steven Brian Fera. Mayor Taron Margaryan once again stressed that Yerevan Municipality is open an willing for mutually beneficial cooperation with German cities and will assist within it powers in experience exchange, improvement of infrastructures, tourism development, services, management and implementation of investment projects in Yerevan.
