 On 24-25 October in the city of Tsaghkadzor the program “Academy of young Ambassadors” was held by the initiative of the Committee on Foreign Relations of RPA Youth Organization.
The aim of the program was to enrich the knowledge of young people who are interested in diplomacy and foreign relations and have basic knowledge on this sphere in order to maximize the effectiveness of their practical application.
The program started with a meeting with the Head of RPA Youth Organization, the RA NA Deputy Karen Avagyan. The Head of RPA Youth Organization touched upon the functions and tasks of the committee.
“Being a member of the Committee on Foreign Relations you must be well informed about the path of the party, ideology and processes. You will participate in various programs and events in different countries, where you will represent the interests of your country or party. That’s why you should have enough knowledge on our history, processes in the country, as well as foreign policy of the country”, noted Karen Avagyan.
During the two-day program a number of seminars were held which were conducted by the specialists of the sphere.
The Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly Artak Zakaryan touched upon the main directions of the RA foreign policy, bilateral and multilateral relations.
The next seminar was conducted by the Head of CEN Yerevan Stepan Khzrtyan. The young people got familiarized with the negotiation art, its main secrets and skills and strengthened it through a practical work.
The next seminar was conducted by the Chief of “State Protocol Service” Agency Vardan Asoyan, the young people got interesting information on protocol service, its nuances, as well as national and cultural characteristics of different peoples protocol service.
At the course of the meeting with the young republicans the Assistant to the RA President Varujan Nersisyan spoke about the RA foreign policy, international developments, co-operation with Armenia in the international arena.
The adviser to the RA NA President Hrayr Zoryan touched upon the public relations and mass media.
At the end of the program the participants were given certificates.
