On October 10 Koryun Nahapetyan, Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs met with the representatives of the member NGOs of the Public Network, the Association of the Civil Society Institutes.

Koryun Naahapetyan highly appreciated the Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the National Assembly of the fourth convocation and the Public Network, but especially highlighted the activation and continuity of real and objective cooperation. He expressed readiness to do utmost in order the cooperation to be closer and more effective. With this respect the participation of the representatives of the organizations being involved with the spheres of the Public Network reserved to the Committee in the sittings of the Committee, parliamentary hearings, joint discussions concerning different problems, where they would make their proposals of solutions of the issues was emphasized. The researches and analyses on concerning issues to the NGOs will be useful for the public and will give opportunity to find effective solutions.

According to the Committee Chairman, the organization of the information technologies, mutually agreed daily work of Internet connection presently is conditioned by the wish of working, willingness and consistency of solving the existing problems.

The representatives of the NGOs raised a number of problems, which more related to military service, negative phenomena taking place in the army, soldiers who became handicapped during the service, etc.

Koryun Nahapetyan proposed to present all the raised issues in written substantiations, which could be a basis for making amendments to relevant laws.
