 Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan with the RA Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan and the acting rector of State Engineering University of Armenia, the member of the Council of Elders of Yerevan Hovhannes Tokmajyan were present at the opening ceremony of the bust of the first Minister of Higher Education and Science of the RA, PHD of Physics and Mathematics, professor, Arm SSR Honorary Scientist Vilik Harutyunyan. The author of the sculpture is the RA People’s Artist Levon Tokmajyan. Within the frames of the event those present presented the contribution of Vilik Harutyunyan as a person devoted to science, as well as expressed gratitude for the initiative to place his bust in the university. The participants of the event put flowers at the bust of Vilik Harutyunyan paying the tribute to his memory. Yerevan Mayor and the Minister of Education and science took part in the first meeting of the board of trustees of State Engineering University of Armenia.
